What Treats are Good for your Dog?

There’s nothing better than treating your dog to some dog treats, either as a reward for good behaviour or simply because they are so damn cute!

However, one of the most common questions we get asked is “what dog treats are good for dogs?”

We all know how important it is to find the Treats which are healthy and yummy for your pooch!

So, here's a list of some easy peasy options:-

  • Frozen Banana Slices: Simply peel a banana, slice it into small rounds, and freeze them on a baking sheet. Once frozen, these banana slices make a refreshing and healthy treat for your pup.
  • Apple Slices: Remove the core and seeds from an apple, then slice it into small pieces. Apples are a crunchy and low-calorie snack that many dogs enjoy. Just be sure to avoid giving them the seeds, as they contain cyanide.
  • Carrots: Baby carrots are a convenient and nutritious snack for dogs. They're low in calories and high in fibre, making them a great choice for pups watching their weight.
  • Plain Popcorn: Popcorn without any added salt, butter, or seasoning can be a fun and low-calorie treat for dogs.Make sure to pick out any unpopped kernels before giving it to your pup.
  • Cooked Sweet Potato Chunks: Sweet potatoes are rich in vitamins and minerals, and many dogs love their sweet taste. Simply cook a sweet potato, let it cool, and cut it into bite-sized chunks for your furry friend.
  • Cottage Cheese: Cheese is a tasty and protein-rich treat for dogs. Cut a small piece of cottage cheese (Paneer) into cubes and give it to your pup as an occasional snack. Just be mindful of lactose intolerance in some dogs.
  • Cucumber Slices: Cucumbers are hydrating and low in calories, making them a crunchy and refreshing snack for dogs. Simply slice a cucumber into thin rounds and give them to your dog, removing the seeds.
  • Peanut Butter: Many dogs go crazy for peanut butter! Just be sure to choose a variety that doesn't contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs. Give your pup a small spoonful of peanut butter as an occasional treat.
